Jasmin Reese is the founder and creative force behind Jasmin Reese Interiors, a Chicago-based luxury residential design firm whose work spans the US.  Jasmin is known for crafting emotionally rich, visually layered homes that balance bold expression with timeless elegance. Born into a military family and raised in Germany, Jasmin grew up moving frequently—living in a wide range of spaces—from converted factories to vineyard homes — constantly adapting to new environments, from the compact to the expansive. These early transitions sharpened her sensitivity to space, mood, and how our surroundings shape our lives.

After relocating to Rhode Island at age 14, Jasmin developed a passion for fine art and painting. She later moved to Boston, putting herself through college while working in high-end furniture showrooms—an experience that sparked her love for interior design. Determined to pursue the field professionally, she moved to Chicago to study at Harrington College of Design and, true to form, launched her first design business the very day she graduated. That venture, Cadmium Interiors, blended her artistic roots with interior design and operated for five years. In 2014, she founded her namesake firm and opened a storefront in Chicago, which functioned as both a design studio and retail space for nearly a decade. As the business expanded, Jasmin transitioned into a 6,000-square-foot studio in Chicago’s North Center, where she shares space with an upholsterer—giving clients a rare, behind-the-scenes look at their custom pieces coming to life.

With a painter’s eye and a passion for storytelling through space, Jasmin is known for her expressive use of color, curated contrasts, and sculptural rooms that blend antique and modern, feminine and masculine. Her signature elements—like wallpapered ceilings and bold “color bomb” rooms—bring whimsy, surprise, and intention to every home. Each project begins with a collaborative “style session,” illustrated here in this comic book format, guiding clients toward designs that are highly personal and layered with meaning.

Her work has earned recognition for its distinct point of view—rooted in artistic vision, emotional resonance, and a fearless approach to color, texture and pattern. Dubbed the “Queen of Color” by Modern Luxury, Jasmin has been featured in Elle Décor, AD Pro, Traditional Home, Living Etc., Chairish, Good Housekeeping, HGTV Magazine, Luxe Interiors + Design, and Aspire, among others. She is also an AD PRO Directory Designer, a Luxe RED Award winner, and a Traditional Home New Trad, with work featured in The Bespoke Book and Modish: The Book of Great Design.
